Skagen Sweater

£6.95

Skagen Sweater has an oversized fit and features a simple pattern of cables worked in columns creating a modern look on a classic shape. The cable columns are easy to work and do not require a cable needle, so this is a fun knit with a unique effect.

Charts are used to work the yoke back and forth to establish the pattern before working in the round. Stitches are picked up around the armhole for the sleeves, which are worked in the same cable pattern as the body. Sizes 3 to 5 include decreases on the underside of the sleeve towards the wrist. All edges are worked in rib and bound off using the Italian Bind-off technique. Finally, stitches are picked up and knitted in rib along the neck edge and then folded over and secured towards the wrong side.
